A photograph is not an image

    - just as an instruction manual is not literature!

A photograph is:  total reproduction of reality

An image is:  Mood, feeling, interpretation

What makes a photograph an image?

left behind, as well as the desire to capture the experience.(U. Bischof in “Every photograph is an image”, catalog of the Siemens photo collection. Source of supply )

My path to the picture?

-Avoiding photographic details

- Avoidance of documentation, e.g. through alienation

- Emphasis on lighting

- get very close to the motif - in both senses of the word
